Westerland rose

This is actually a German breed, and was first created by Reimer Kordes in 1969. It can also be known as a climbing Westerland, KORwest, or KORlawe.

The nice salmon color can definitely be a nice addition to a garden or fence. You can tell this breed from it ruffled blooms and signature color. It has a double bloom and will repeat throughout the season. In addition, it has a very nice fragrance.

As a climber, it can also look good against a wall or on an arbor. The unique salmon color makes it look beautiful with blue plants interspersed, as seen in the picture above. Dark red flowers also look good with it. They also look great it a vase with blue or dark red flowers as well.

Westerland roses are strong against disease. It is a stronger grower as well, up to 10 feet in cases. It has some properties of shrubs in that is is relatively low maintenance. Blooming can be increased by removing spent blooms.
