Rose Candles

Rose candles are a great way to add that familiar garden scent without having to have fresh cut flowers on hand. They are great for the winter, at night, for centerpieces, and in many other great ways! The floating candles especially look great for centerpieces or at weddings.

When buying rose candles, there are a few things you should keep in mind. One is the type of wax. There are two popular types:

Parrafin Wax

It was once very popular but has fallen out of favor because of its environmental issues. They are made from crude oil.

Palm Wax

Palm wax is made from the oil of plam trees. It is popular because it tends to provide a candle with a unique design of crystals within it. Palm wax tends to burn without issue.

Soy Wax

Soy wax is created from naturally growing soybeans and its byproducts.  Soy wax is earth friendly, and biodegradable. It is also a cleaning burning wax with very small amounts of soot. This is the more popular type.
