Love My Wild Roses

by Jane
(Ontario, Canada)

I have always had trouble growing roses at my home.

I am told that my Aunt and Uncle who used to live here for years, always had the most beautiful roses in their gardens. My Aunts' name was Rose, and when she died, my uncle literally pulled out every rose on the property. There have been none since, and I can't seem to make them grow, except for the wild roses. They come in faithfully every year and are beautiful.

So many people don't like them; I know they can be pesky and spread, but they are lovely just the same.

A florist who used to live beside me once told me
roses have to be bought from a nursery only if you want good ones. Well, I don't know just how true that is, but in the meantime I will gladly settle for my pink wild roses.
