Ingrid Bergman Rose

The Ingrid Bergman rose is a gardener's favorite for many reasons. Find out more about its beauty and easy hybrid tea characteristics.

Originally bred in Denmark in 1984, this rose has grown in popularity. Here's a lovely picture from Pat Anderson at www.patanderson.net:

Ingrid Bergman Rose

One of the most striking things about this beautiful plant is its deep red flowers. They are very red, and not that black red. They really define the word red rose!

They have huge double blooms with an almost soft, silk feel to them. The redness works nicely with the dark green foliage. The stems are very strong and resistant to disease, which many gardeners love. It can thrive planted in gardens or in containers. It has only a mild fragrance though.

It is a strong grower and will get up to six feet high with proper care. Its good for zones 5-9.

Check out the Ingrid Bergman rose for your garden!
