Grootendorst Rose

grootendorst rose
Grootendort is a fantastic rose for colder climates. I used to have this, and it survived 35C day during the summer, and 2 foot of snow during the winter. A great variety to grow in Northern America! It has one slight drawback....plenty of thorns, as you often get with a rugosa type rose.

That doesn't detract from it's overall beauty though. Good strong color and delicate scent.
