Golden Wedding Rose

Into the history books….

The history on this breed is a little vague. I've seen information that says this rose was bred by Weeks in the UK around 1990, but also bred by Krebs in 1991. Either way, its a fairly new breed.

Beauty
This yellow beauty is a hybrid tea. It actually has a medium scent which is rare for the hybrids. It is a very thorny breed so keep that in mind as well. It has repeating blooms throughout the season.

This rose can be planted in a variety of spots but keep in mind the thorniness. It tends to be better placed away from entranceways and walkways because of that.

Gardening
The Golden Wedding rose tends to do best in full sunshine, although it can grow with a small amount of shade. Its a very robust grower and is very disease resistant. However, it has been known to attract bees.
