Fourth of July Rose
Fourth of July roses were named because of their striking color combination which reminds some of the red, white, and blue colors seen around America's Independence Day.
The Fourth of July rose is a very elegant red and white striped rose with golden stamens. The scarlet red color combined with subtle white and striking golden stamen gives the rose its eye captivating look. It is called a modern climber and was introduced in the year 1999. It is a hybrid of Altissimo and Roller Coaster introduced by Carruth. It exhibits the best qualities of both the breeds therefore is widely used to mark the festive occasion of the Independence Day. With its outstanding traits it was awarded the AARS award in the same year of its introduction.
Fourth of July roses are an excellent climbing rose plant that can easily attain the height of 12 to 14 feet at full maturity. You'll know this plant from the big sized semi-double blooms. The petals of the blooms are velvety and ruffled. The petal count in each bloom usually measures between 10 to 14. Each bloom lasts long and they are repetitive throughout the season.
