Easy Elegance RosesEasy elegance roses are quite popular and, as the name suggests, easy to grow! What other flower comes with a guarantee with it?
These were first created by Bailey Nurseries by a breeder named Pink Lim. They wanted to created a line of easy to grow roses in the 1980s. Since then, they have now spread out to the rest of the nation. Most local nurseries should have a selection available. The guarantee, in my opinion, is pretty well unheard off. For two years you are promised no failed roses. They also promise no chemicals and no special pruning. They don’t warranty against pests, but most other issues are covered. Obviously, if you completely forget to water or plant them in a terrible shaded spot with lousy soil, you probably won’t get much out of them. As long as you follow their recommendations you should end up with a nice blooming bush. With all of the variables with gardening, it’s amazing that they do that. They can definitely match up nicely to knockouts! Most of the easy elegance roses are shrubs, so they aren’t huge growers. I think that makes them easy to manage as well. There are actually a whole group of roses that fall under the group. There are a variety of colors and looks available, they’ve really covered the whole spectrum. Reds, pinks, whites, yellows, they are all there. Right now they’re up to about 25 or so, with a couple new ones added yearly. Here are some of the more popular varieties: Snowdrift – Has a cool, off-white look, much like slightly dirtied snow. Yellow Submarine – A very cool looking flower. I’m not a big fan of yellow roses but these are eye-catching. They’ll go from yellow to white in one blooming session. Centennial – Has a very nice soft apricot or peach color. Kiss Me Rose – A great looking pink bloomer. Kiss Me Rose – A great looking pink bloomer.
