Disneyland Rose

The Disneyland rose just seems like a natural extension for the Disney product line. After all, they have official cruises, airlines, and everything in between. Why not have an official rose!

I guess the marketing people decided that an orange floribunda would be the best way to represent the "Happiest Place on Earth". It is a nice looking flower though. The orange color looks very exotic and goes well with the Southern California landscape. You can see these on the grounds at the resort and at the Disneyland hotel.

If you're growing it, realize that it is best planted in full sun. It does have a good measure of disease resistance, and will bloom repeatedly throughout the season. Some readers have reported it looking nice planted with Day Breakers as well. It does have a slight fragrance, but not overwhelming.
