Compassion Rose

The Compassion rose offers a unique apricot and peach color, great scent, and cool climbing traits.

Compassion Rose

Into the history books….

Its a Harkness rose and was first introduced in 1972. It is enormously popular in the UK and it very well decorated there. It is not as widespread in North America but people are warming up to it.

Beauty

The unique color really sets this rose apart. Its been described as a salmon, apricot, or light orange. It goes well with other blue perennials. The scent is also excellent. While not as strong as the antiques, it does add a sweet fragrance to your garden without being overpowering.

It is spectacular as on a pergola or try it on a pillar as well.

Gardening

Many gardeners have commented on how disease resistant this plant is. Its rated from 5a all the way to 10b. Although its a rambler by nature you can certainly prune it down to a bush like size so you get some versatility in that way.
