Blush NoisetteThe Blush Noisette rose is a beautiful bush rose that acts like a climber. In either case, it looks great in many gardens. Find out more about this great old flower!
History It was named after the breeder, Philip Noisette, who bred this back in 1814. I couldn't find as much about the Blush part of the name, but I think it has to do with the slight pink you see layered on the beautiful white flowers as they bloom. They certainly do resemble blushing cheeks! Beauty The white flowers with pink definitely give this plant a unique look. It will bloom repeatedly throughout the season. As a climber, they look great on arches and pillars especially, or they are good as a bush too. Another nice feature with this rose is the fragrance. Its a little strong in my opinion but many other people like it. Gardening Unfortunately for some of us, these beauties only really thrive in warmer climates. I seen it rated from 6b to 9b but that might be a little generous. They definitely like warmer weather. If you're in the right spot climate wise, they can be nice to work with as they are relatively thornless. The long flexible canes give you some flexibility in growing it for sure.
