Mascotte

mascotte red rose

This rose could have easily been put under the "Pink Roses" section. However, the one pictured is more red than pink, and the actual flower itself looks more red to my eye. It has a great perfume, and probably looks better in a group planting rather than single specimens.

This image was taken on a sunny day, so red tends to appear washed out. Next summer, I will attempt go get a better photo on a cloudy day! I've always like Meilland roses, and Mascotte is no exception.

Featured Rose - "Banksiae"
yellow banksiae rose
Absolutely stunning, when in full bloom. A mass of 1000s of pale yellow flowers, each one only 1-2 inches across. A light fragrance, as well as the almost total lack of thorns, make this rose a great addition to any garden.
